Dodgeball Tournament

Event Summary

Go head to head against teams within your division to be the last company on the court in the Corporate Challenge Dodgeball Tournament. Companies will select a team of ten and compete in a best-of-three tournament to determine one winner. Advance through the bracket to take home the title.

The tournament will be conducted under National Amateur Dodgeball Association (NADA) Rules. The object of the game is to eliminate all players on the opposing team by hitting them with a LIVE thrown ball below the shoulders or catching a LIVE ball thrown by the other teams. All games will be played until 5 minutes expires or all opponents are eliminated on one side. If time expires, all remaining players will be counted and the team with the most players remaining wins the game.

Dodgeball FAQs

  • What if I'm holding a ball and I drop it to catch a ball thrown at me?
    • If a player is holding a ball and drops it in order to catch a ball thrown at them, the thrower is out upon a successful catch.
  • Can I block a ball with a ball that I am holding?
    • Yes. A player may use a ball they are holding to make a block. However, if the thrown ball knocks the ball out of their hands, the player is out.
  • What if I’m hit with a ball and my teammate catches it before it hits the ground, wall, etc.?
    • If player A is hit with a live ball and it is caught by player B, Player A is still eliminated. Once a ball hits the floor, foreign object or a player it is considered dead.
  • What if I’m hit in the head?
    • A player who is hit in the head/neck area is NOT out
  • What if I throw a ball and it hits someone and then hits another player before hitting the floor?
    • A thrown ball can only eliminate ONE player. If someone is hit by a ball that has already made contact with another player or the floor, that individual is not out.
  • Can I re-enter the game?
    • Eliminated players may only re-enter the game if a live player catches a ball thrown by the other team. Eliminated players MUST re-enter in the same order as they were eliminated.
